Getting to Know Me: The Experience Behind MoonLit Bloom

Where many of the herbs are grown.

MoonLit Bloom didn’t began as a business idea. It began as a natural extension of a life spent caring for others.

I’ve spent three decades as a licensed senior cosmetologist, working hands on with the hair, scalp, and skin across more than 57,400 clients. Behind the chair, I’ve listened to stories, witnessed transformations, and seen first hand how deeply personal hair and self-care truly are. Over time, one truth became impossible to ignore: people are wanting gentler, more thoughtful ways to care for themselves, ways that support long term health rather than quick fixes.

Early years behind the chair, where it all began.

My professional background is rooted in education, formulation understanding, and real world results. I’ve worked with scalp health, hair texture, product education, and sustainable salon practices. I’ve also seen the damage caused by over processing, harsh ingredients, and one size fits all routines that ignore the individuality of both hair and the person attached to it.

At the same time, my own life was quietly guiding me in another direction. Over the years, I experienced repeated adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals, reactions that forced me to pay close attention to what I put in and onto my body. This wasn’t a rejection of modern medicine, but a realization that my body required a more natural, intentional approach. That awareness opened the door to herbalism, holistic care, and deeper study into ingredients, formulations, and how the body responds to them.

MoonLit Bloom was born at the intersection of professional experience and personal necessity.

What I created today is informed by decades behind the chair, ongoing education, hands on formulation work, and a belief that self-care should feel supportive, not overwhelming. Every product and every article is rooted in balance, between science and intuition, practicality and ritual, modern understanding and traditional wisdom.

The moon became a natural guide in this process. Lunar cycles offer rhythm, reflection, and permission to slow down, something many of us have forgotten how to do. MoonLit Bloom is built on that same philosophy: care that honors natural cycles, listens to the body, and meets people where they are.

In 2026, I’ll celebrate 30 years as a licensed senior cosmetologist, and this work continues to evolve, guided by experience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the connection between care and timing. That relationship, especially as it relates to hair and the lunar cycle, will be explored more deeply in future articles.

MoonLit Bloom today-rooted in experience, guided by intention.

This space, these articles exists to share what I’ve learned along the way. Not as trends or promises, but as thoughtful guidance meant to support real life.

Thank you for being here. I am glad our paths crossed.
